About Us
Established by popular demand, Key West Outdoor Movies was created purely out of necessity. The Florida Keys and Key West has so many wonderful events to drive tourism, but what was missing was a local attraction that could be free or cost very little to the public. After 2 years of brainstorming, KWOM was born and quickly became a success. By showing outdoor movies in a community setting, we can bring our friends and family together, spending valuable time together in a very unique setting. We carry an array of different size screens that allow us the flexibility to show a movie wherever you’d like!
The outdoor movie series initially originated on a breezy afternoon in 2014 through the collaborative efforts of Jason Hoegle and Scott Gerke. The first two seasons were resounding successes, and after a brief hiatus, Key West Outdoor Movies returned in October of 2023 to Key West for its third full season.
We are going into our 4th season starting in October of 2024 and we can hardly wait!
Our primary goal is to foster a family-friendly environment where nobody feels left out. We want to create an atmosphere that welcomes and embraces individuals of all backgrounds and interests. Our movie series is designed to provide entertainment that appeals to one and all.
We're thrilled to have such a supportive local community, and we can't wait to kick off the Movie Series and see the positive impact it will have on our already thriving fanbase.
